American River College

Natomas Center, Phases 2 & 3

Designed to support a wide range of life and physical science programs, this modern science facility features five teaching laboratories with prep spaces for anatomy/physiology, biology, chemistry, physics, astronomy, and geoscience.

The laboratories were planned to maximize flexibility and encourage collaboration through curved lab benches and workstation layouts that support teams of two or four students. The result is an engaging, adaptable learning environment that promotes interaction and hands-on discovery.

Mott Products:

  • Caramelized bamboo wood casework and student workstations with a natural stain finish

  • High-efficiency NovaGuard™ fume hoods featuring side glass viewing panels that increase natural light, improve sight lines, and enhance the sense of open laboratory space, along with the ASO2 Plus Automatic Sash Operator with light curtain obstruction sensing technology for added safety

  • Adjustable-height fume hood tables with suspended acid and solvent storage cabinets

The completed facility delivers durable, high-performance laboratory spaces that support both current educational needs and future program growth.
