mottLAB is proud to be part of two projects recognized at the 2026 Lab Design Conference Design Excellence Awards in Orlando, highlighting the power of collaboration in delivering high-performance laboratory spaces.

Award Winner: University of Waterloo

The University of Waterloo Earth Sciences & Chemistry Building Third Floor Renovations received the award for Excellence in Whole Building / Holistic Design — Renovation.

Working alongside project partners mcCallumSather and Harbridge + Cross, Mott Manufacturing supplied lab furniture and fume hoods, helping support a modernized research environment designed for flexibility, efficiency, and innovation.

Special Mention: National Research Council Canada

The National Research Council Canada Advanced Materials Research Facility received a Special Mention in the Renovation / Addition category.

Delivered by the Canada FIRST Joint Venture (HOK, Architecture49, WSP) with Pomerleau, this project demonstrates the complexity and precision required for advanced research environments. Mott Manufacturing contributed lab furniture and fume hoods tailored to meet the needs of highly specialized materials research.
